The rule we cut to
Arkansas Highway Commission rules require for-hire intrastate carriers to "at all times have displayed on both sides of all power units identification of ownership of the vehicle" — 27 CAR § 110-1204(a)(1). It must be "readily legible during daylight hours from a distance of fifty feet (50') while the vehicle is not in motion" — § 110-1204(a)(3).
Those quotes are on this listing because we actually read the rule. It asks for ownership identification — your company name, displayed both sides — not a special number format.
Read this before you order a "permit number" decal
Some sellers push an Arkansas permit-number decal at every carrier. Under § 110-1204(b), the permit-number display requirement applies to hazardous-waste permit holders — if that's not you, what Arkansas wants on your doors is ownership identification. A note on letter size
